"Humans are sending another rover to mars. The rover, Perseverance, is designed to find signs of life. during his mission, he meets other rovers setting out to do the same, but years pass and he becomes the last rover remaining. Time moves on, Perseverance has not had correspondence with Earth in 10? - no... 100 years? His battery is low, and its getting dark - but he finally completes his mission when he is recovered by alien life."
